RNG acted as a partner of the prestigious Russian National Men’s Boxing Tournament held in memory of A.I. Fedotov, President of the Boxing Federation of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). The event took place in the city of Mirny, coinciding with the 60th anniversary of Mirninsky District and the 70th anniversary of Mirny itself.
The tournament served as a qualifying round for the upcoming Russian National Boxing Championship. It gathered over 100 athletes from 23 regions across the country, including members of the Yakutia national boxing team. Competitors faced off in thirteen weight divisions—from 46 kg to 92+ kg—under the Olympic knockout format, where a single loss means elimination.
Yakutia’s boxers delivered a strong performance, securing 26 medals in total, with the regional team earning seven spots at the national championship.
Among the honoured guests were world boxing legends and Olympic champions Alexander Povetkin, Aleksandr Lebziak, and Oleg Saitov. These celebrated athletes hosted workshops for both the participants and fans, sharing their expertise.
