RNG Lends a Helping Land to Arylakh in Yakutia

27.10.2026

RNG has helped the village of Arylakh, the administrative centre of the Chuoninsky nasleg in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), improve its flood defences along the Malaya Botuobiya River.

Georgy Yakovlev, head of the nasleg, approached the Company for help after Arylakh was hit by severe flooding this spring. The Malaya Botuobiya burst its banks, flooding homes and yards and forcing dozens of residents to evacuate.

Work is now under way to strengthen the flood barrier and better protect the village when water levels rise. RNG has supplied around 1,000 cubic metres of aggregate for the project.

RNG regularly works with communities across the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) on projects designed to protect them from natural disasters and help with recovery afterwards. Last year, the Company provided funding to the Oymyakonsky District after spring floods damaged local homes. The money went towards building materials needed for repairs.
