The Company has backed the Mirninsky District Open Championship in chess and draughts, awarding special prizes to the strongest players. Held in Mirny, the tournament marked the 81st anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
The event was organised by the Chess Federations of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and the Mirninsky District Education Department. It brought together more than 120 schoolchildren from the towns of Mirny, Udachny, Lensk and nearby communities.
Players competed in two age groups (7–11 and 12–18), with winners and medallists named in four categories for each discipline.
The young competitors and their families praised the high standard of the event. The organisers thanked RNG for being a reliable partner, championing children’s sport and helping young people in Yakutia develop their talent and focus.
