Students and staff at the Ust-Kut Institute of Water Transport now have access to upgraded facilities after RNG Snabzhenie funded a major refresh of the Institute’s service complex.
Much of the equipment there had become outdated and was due for replacement. Following a request from the Institute, RNG Snabzhenie funded new kitchen equipment, dining-room furniture and appliances used for day-to-day maintenance.
The relationship between RNG Snabzhenie and the Institute goes well beyond regular financial assistance. The Ust-Kut Institute of Water Transport, a branch of the Siberian State University of Water Transport, trains specialists for Russia’s river and maritime fleets, and each year its cadets gain hands-on experience aboard RNG Snabzhenie vessels.
During the navigation season, RNG Snabzhenie’s river fleet carries equipment, supplies and food from the port of Osetrovo in Ust-Kut to Lensk, helping keep RNG operations in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) supplied throughout the season.
