The Company has supported Hunter’s Day celebrations in the village of Arylakh in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), awarding special prizes to the winners of the traditional national sports competitions.
This year’s festivities unfolded on the frozen Malaya Botuobiya River, where hunting teams from Tas-Yuryakh, Syuldyukar and Arylakh competed in one of Yakutia’s best-known seasonal events. Six teams took to the ice for contests that have become a longstanding part of the occasion.
Held each year as part of Yakutia’s Hunter’s Day programme, the event helps keep the traditions of hunting alive, promotes indigenous sports and pays tribute to veteran hunters.
Supporting initiatives like this remains an important part of RNG’s work in the region. The Company continues to back projects that help preserve Yakutia’s cultural and historical heritage, maintain traditional ways of life and encourage the responsible use of natural resources.
