24.04.2026

The results are in: The Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) has hosted an awards ceremony for the winners of the educational competition sponsored by RNG. In 2026, the competition, organised by the Ministry of Education and Science and the Trust Fund for Future Generations of Yakutia, celebrates its fifth anniversary. The Company is a driving force behind the event and its General Partner.

Interest in the awards continues to grow. This year saw a record 478 applications; of those, 367 came from teachers working in municipal education, while 111 were submitted by applicants from public and private institutions. The award attracts more and more Yakutian educators every year.

The selection committee picked 100 best educators of Yakutia, with RNG awarding them each a cash prize of 100,000 roubles.

“I would like to thank RNG in particular for its continued commitment to responsible business and for championing teachers across our republic. In just five years, more than 2,000 teachers have entered the competition, with 500 already named winners. The growing number of applicants shows that the award is gaining real momentum—and that teachers are eager to experiment, create and bring fresh ideas into education. I am confident that, with the support of Head of the Republic Aysen Nikolayev and the Ministry of Education, this initiative will continue to grow,” says Sergey Mestnikov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).

RNG plans to keep backing the teachers’ competition, helping make the profession more visible and respected, giving teachers room to develop, and strengthening the education system of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).
