This year, second- and third-year students from the Ust-Kut Institute of Water Transport joined RNG Snabzhenie crews for practical training. Eight cadets studying to become motormen and helmsmen have been working aboard the Boyets, Vitimets, Morion and Viktoriya-1.
The cadets were given real responsibilities from the outset and quickly settled into day-to-day work on board. Practical experience, combined with guidance from senior crew members, has helped them build the skills needed to work on modern river vessels.
RNG Snabzhenie has worked closely with the Ust-Kut Institute of Water Transport for many years, including through dedicated financial support for its initiatives. Placements aboard the Company’s vessels give cadets the opportunity to put their knowledge into practice, while helping RNG Snabzhenie build a pipeline of skilled professionals for its river fleet.
