The event takes place in the region for the third year in a row as part of cooperation between the Company and the Trust Fund for Future Generations of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). One hundred best representatives of the teaching sphere received awards of 100 thousand rubles each.
RNG is the main promoter and sponsor of the event. The competition was first held on a hundredth anniversary of the Yakut Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic and was met with great interest on the part of the region’s teaching community. Therefore, it was decided that the competition would be held annually. More than 1,000 teachers have taken part in this event over the three years, and the number of applications keeps growing.
This time, 390 teachers from all 36 municipal formations participated in the competitive selection. The winners were chosen by an independent commission. The experts used such defining criteria as high academic performance of students, personal achievements of the applicants, and the use of modern teaching methods. Besides that, additional evaluation criteria were applied for teachers representing different educational levels, which allowed for ensuring objectivity of the competition. Standards developed by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) were used to chose the winners.

It is gratifying to know that our large industrial enterprises also take part in enhancing of the teacher’s profession prestige. RNG is a bright example of that. It is the third year that the Company has acted as a general sponsor of the competition for an award in the field of education for Yakutia teachers. Thanks to the Company, 100 best teachers of the republic are annually awarded 100 thousand rubles each,” says Aysen Nikolayev, the Head of Yakutia.
RNG, in cooperation with the regional and local authorities, will continue contributing to the development of education in the region. Apart from the competition, the Company acts as a regular sponsor of the projects in this sphere, it provides material, technical and advisory support to educational institutions of the republic.
