Last December, the company signed a cooperation agreement with the Russian Red Cross. The parties agreed to support projects aimed at providing assistance to residents of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). One of the important stages of the partnership will be the establishment of an emergency supply reserve.
A warehouse with emergency kits will be located in Yakutsk. A suitable facility is currently being sought to store hygiene kits, bedding and foodstuffs with a long shelf life. The humanitarian reserve will make it possible to immediately provide people with the necessary items in the event of an emergency. All work is expected to be completed in the second quarter of this year.
“Creating reserves of humanitarian products is one of the important tasks of the Russian Red Cross this year. The lists for filling them are formed based on the geographical peculiarities of the territories. We thank RNG for its openness and willingness to support socially important initiatives of our organisation,” said Pavel Savchuk, Chairman of the Russian Red Cross.
The cooperation will also include the training of rapid response teams, which will reduce the burden on public services during emergencies.
