RNG has been providing assistance to the local healthcare system since the beginning of the Covid-19 outbreak in Yakutia.
The “RNG to doctors” project won first prize in the Social and Environmental Initiative nomination at the republican stage of the Nationwide MediaTEK Award. Alexander Novak, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, complimented the winners and noted that the fuel sector is the most important for the Russian economy. Dmitry Peskov, Press Secretary of the President of Russia, emphasized that joint efforts helped the industry to withstand difficult conditions.
The year 2020 has shown that the most valuable thing is human life and health. RNG was among the first to help the Mirny Central Regional Hospital. Tatyana Struchkova, Chief physician, noted: “At the beginning of the pandemic, it was difficult to get protective equipment and antiseptics. RNG’s help made the work of our doctors easier”.
As part of the RNG to Doctors program, RNG has regularly supplied the hospital with medicines, personal protective equipment and other medical equipment since April 2020. Since the beginning of the program, the company has donated bedside monitors, a mobile box for transporting patients, protective suits, artificial lung ventilators, ultraviolet irradiators, and equipment for plasma defrosting.
The company intends to continue to support social institutions in Yakutia and participate in the development of the region.
Vladimir Rakitin, CEO of RNG, summed up the results of a difficult year both for the company and for the industry as a whole: “A new challenge has been added to the difficult economic conditions in 2020. We managed to resist and help the region in the fight against coronavirus infection. These difficulties brought us together and showed how important it is to join forces to solve the most important problems. I would like to thank the RNG employees. I wish all residents of the region health, prosperity and success in the coming year. “
