The winners of this year’s international Ekologiya—Delo Kazhdogo (Russian for Environment is Everybody's Business) award have been announced. RNG has partnered with the initiative for five years running.
Varvara Bobrysheva, a school student from Stavropol Krai in Southern Russia, took the Grand Prix with an inventive solution for recycling used batteries. Her idea uses safe reagents to recover battery components and turn them into manganese-rich micronutrient fertilisers. More than 900 children and adults from across Russia and other countries also received prizes and awards this year.
Ekologiya—Delo Kazhdogo aims to make environmental awareness part of everyday thinking, inspiring children, young people and adults alike to care for the world around them. RNG partners with the award every year, helping the project champion new ideas and a more responsible approach to the environment.
