The Company has provided funding to support large families of clergy members.
Clergy families traditionally have many children. Priests rely primarily on donations from parishioners for their income, and their families therefore often face serious financial difficulties. In addition, clergy members of the Diocese of Yakutia serve in remote northern uluses, or districts, of the Republic, where living conditions remain challenging.
Large families of clergy members engaged in pastoral ministry need additional support. The funds provided by RNG will be used to improve their living conditions.
Hieromonk Nikandr (Gorbatyuk), Secretary of the Diocese of Yakutia and Rector of the Transfiguration Cathedral, thanked the Company for its support. He highlighted RNG’s important role in implementing charitable programmes in the region and its attentiveness to public needs.
The Company’s financial assistance has become the inaugural contribution to a fund established in the Republic this year to provide financial support to large families of clergy members of the Diocese of Yakutia.
