RNG has ranked fifth in the rating compiled by the Ministry of Ecology, Nature Management and Forestry of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) among the region’s extractive companies.
Yakutia has launched a new independent mechanism for assessing the environmental impact of industrial operations. The EcoRating of Subsoil Users is designed to increase transparency in corporate environmental practices and foster green competition across the region.
The rating uses an index that measures how closely companies developing subsoil resources in Yakutia meet the Republic’s environmental standards. The methodology was developed by the Ministry’s specialists following an analysis of a large body of environmental protection data submitted by subsoil users.
Environmental stewardship and the responsible use of subsoil resources are key pillars of RNG’s environmental programme. The Сompany is committed to sustainable development and conscious consumption, and strives to create products that minimise adverse environmental impacts throughout their life cycle.
