The award was established by Rosprirodnadzor to encourage children and teenagers aged 7 to 16 who care about the environment. The company has allocated financial resources for holding the event and awarding the winners and awardees in all approved nominations.
On March 1, the new season of the Ecology is Everyone’s Business project was launched. It is aimed at raising the environmental awareness of young people, involving children and adolescents in environmental activities, maintaining their eco-activity, including in social networks.
Participants post on Internet sites their creative works – videos, drawings, photographs, – where they show how important it is to take care of natural resources, offer their own environmental initiatives and projects in this area.
“We decided that the international award will be carried out on an annual basis because we consider ecology to be a very important topic. It is necessary to change the attitude of people to the conservation of nature and the environment. The previous year’s competition showed that our children, participants of the award, are ready to solve environmental problems. The task of adults is to pay attention to what worries them,” commented Svetlana Radionova, head of the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resources.
Responsible attitude to the environment and rational use of resources are the main priorities of RNG. The company invests heavily in environmental protection measures, carries out continuous environmental monitoring and strives to minimize harm during production activities.
“RNG constantly implements programs aimed at maintaining the ecological balance in the region of its presence. I am sure that it is necessary to teach careful handling of nature from a young age. We are pleased to become partners of the Ecology is Everyone’s Business Award,” said Vladimir Rakitin, Director General of RNG.
