RNG JSC will support projects of the Russian Red Cross to help people affected by emergencies. First of all, these are initiatives aimed at preserving and strengthening the health of the local population, as well as creating supplies of basic necessities. Most of the joint activities will be implemented in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).
As part of the partnership, a Russian Red Cross emergency fund will be formed to help respond quickly to emergencies without waiting for donations to be collected. In addition, a local emergency response team will be established. This will alleviate the burden on public services, which in emergency situations are busy rescuing people and rebuilding critical infrastructure.
“First aid training will be organised for all volunteers who will join the disaster response team at the Yakutsk Regional Branch of the Russian Red Cross. This will give our volunteers the opportunity to help the population in an emergency situation as quickly and professionally as possible,” said Pavel Savchuk, Chairman of the Russian Red Cross.
An important part of the cooperation will be the establishment of an emergency supply warehouse. It will collect sanitary and hygiene kits, bedding and food with a long shelf life. An untouchable stockpile will make it possible to quickly provide people with basic necessities in case of natural disasters or other emergencies.

In addition, preparations for the 2022 fire season will soon begin. A large part of the funds will be used to purchase consumables, uniforms for the response team members and the purchase of humanitarian supplies.
