A group of the Yakut Regional Branch of the public organisation, created thanks to RNG, took part in the second thematic volunteer meeting. The event passed in the area of Us Khatyn and gathered 170 volunteers from all over the region.
The volunteers participated in workshops on emergency response and first aid, the basic algorithms of emergency rescue actions were demonstrated during the exercises. In addition, the participants learned about the equipment and special vehicles of operational services.
“Our volunteers are actively involved in emergency response. With the support of RNG we plan to increase the number of volunteers who will be able to provide real assistance to operational services”, commented Alena Kychkina, Chairman of the Russian Red Cross Yakut Regional Branch.
RRC will prepare a second regional team of volunteers to respond to emergencies thanks to the financial assistance of the company by the end of the year. 20 people from 9 municipalities of Yakutia will complete the training.
