The company’s own service has recently been included in the schedule of the Mirninsky fire guard garrison.
RNG pays attention to fire safety issues not only at production facilities. The company’s Department of Fire Safety, Civil Defense and Emergency Situations helps eliminate and prevent fires in the Mirninsky district. A team of 16 employees has extinguished more than 20 fires during its work.
“We regularly help extinguish forest fires that occur here from year to year. To protect the Living Diamonds of Yakutia natural park from fire, we flew by helicopters and spent two weeks in the field,” noted Roman Odintsov, Head of the Fire Safety, Civil Defense and Emergency Situations Department of RNG.
RNG voluntary fire brigade is only voluntary in words. A team of professionals with specialized firefighting education and work experience in the Emergencies Ministry of Russia cooperates with the single dispatch service of Mirninsky and Lensky districts of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). During the fire hazard period, patrolling of forest areas and fire monitoring is organized. Since 2021, RNG’s fire brigade has been included in the schedule of Mirny fire guard garrison.
The fire station of RNG has all the necessary firefighting equipment and two tank trucks at its disposal. The company regularly conducts training sessions with evacuation of personnel.
