The company management decided to extend support of the All-Russian public organisation Russian Red Cross projects in the territory of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).
During the current year the active emergency response team among volunteers who live in Yakutsk will be passing trainings within the partnership. It is also planned to train new volunteers from nine remote areas of the region – all of them will receive the necessary equipment and additional inventory.
“Local emergency response teams training is a smooth continuation of the work begun last year., We trained 20 people at that time and today they are able to provide rapid assistance to the population in emergencies. We are grateful to RNG for assistance in the implementation of our programmes”, commented Pavel Savchuk, Chairman of the Russian Red Cross.
Another important part of cooperation is the equipment of the Russian Red Cross Regional Office warehouse with humanitarian supplies to distribute them among the affected ones, as well as the provision of necessary logistical support to assist in the emergencies relief. Thus, In July of this year, thanks to the financial support of RNG, volunteers were able to deliver 300 humanitarian kits to the flood-affected settlements of the republic - Suordakh and Tomtor.
