On August 29, 2019 a solemn ceremony of putting Eastern blocks of the Srednebotuobinskoye oil, gas and condensate field into commercial operation will take place. The event is timed to coincide with the First Republican Oil and Gas Forum, which will be held in Mirny (Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) on August 29 and 30.

Background:
The field is located in the south-east of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), 130 km from Mirny. The proved recoverable oil reserves at the Eastern blocks are 28 million tons, gas reserves are 14.3 billion m3, and condensate reserves are 168,000 tons.
To ensure hydrocarbon production at the field, adequate infrastructure has been put in place including high-voltage power lines, central oil gathering station, oil gathering networks, water pipelines and reservoir pressure maintenance systems, as well as a network of service lanes with a total length of over 150 km. Construction of production facilities for preparation of 1.29 million tons of oil per year has been completed. Development drilling is carried out with seven drilling rigs.
In 2018, RNG started trial operation of the field. The oil produced is delivered to the Eas¬tern Siberia – Pacific Ocean pipeline system.
