The company supported the all-Russian campaign and contributed to the promotion of NGV fuel.
“From St. Petersburg to Mirny” motor rally, in which cars with gas engines took part, ended at the central square of Mirny. The event initiated by ALROSA and supported by the Government of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) was designed to demonstrate the advantage of NGV fuel over traditional fuel.
Responsible attitude towards the environment is one of the priority principles of RNG. The Company is actively working on transition to NGV fuel, which has less negative impact on the environment as compared to oil products.
RNG sponsored the motor rally. Starting on September 11 in St. Petersburg, the motorcade passed through 21 regions and covered a distance of over 8,300 km. The company’s employees took part in the final stage from Lensk to Mirny on a Shacman dump truck and a Toyota Fortuner car.
Acting Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) Andrey Tarasenko noted the contribution of RNG in the organization and holding of the event with a letter of gratitude, and the Head of Yakutia Aisen Nikolaev thanked the participants and organizers of the project and noted its importance for the republic as one of the country’s most prospective gas extracting regions.
The Minister of Industry and Geology of the Republic Maksim Tereshchenko noted that the statistics collected during the race will help them form a list of proposals to improve the NGV infrastructure, which will be sent to the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation.
