At present 150 tons of oil delivered to the location where 45 socially important facilities urgently require full central heating.
“Due to lack of fuel the situation has become critical. We are very grateful to RNG company for their involvement”, said Eduard Filippov, the Head of Suntarsky nasleg. According to him, the previous supplier refused to fulfill the contract obligations and as a consequence the local administration decided to dissolve the contract.
“The available fuel in village settlement would be sufficient only until October 15”, Mr. Filippov noted. “Had it not been for RNG contribution, our hospital, school, college, boiler house and over 40 social important facilities would be left unheated”.
Mr. Filippov went out of his way and arrived in Moscow in order to designate the new fuel supplier before the deadline. RNG company promptly replied to our plead for assistance and committed to deliver the fuel supply on their own.
The distance from the oil extraction spot in the Eastern blocks of the Srednebotuobinskoe oil and gas condensate deposit to Suntar is more than 440 km. The trucks can reach this distance if roads are clear and there are no delays, in about 6-7 hours.
“The most complicated term was to drive tankers with oil down the road before the river crossings between Malaya Botuobiya and Vilyuy were closed,” said Ivan Menshikov, the General Director of RNG.
Due to weather conditions the river crossings were to be closed down in the middle of October for the winter months. Even now the night temperatures in Suntar region fall below minus 10C. But the road services made an assessment of the situation and agreed to prolong the working times of ferry boats and pontoon ferries until the RNG tank trucks with oil for Suntar cross over them . Through the concerted efforts of all agencies 150 tons of oil have been successfully delivered to the village settlement.
