Competent management decisions allowed the company’s division to become an independent operator of transport and logistics services.
RNG Procurement LLC is responsible for the organization of cargo transportation in the RNG group of companies. An important stage in its work was the acquisition of a warehouse base in Lensk at the end of 2020. The location of the facility near the river port and the oil depot ensures independence of the RNG division in the acceptance, storage and transshipment of cargo in the Lena basin. Cargo will be sent directly to the oil fields at the request of customers, bypassing the central warehouse of the field support base, upon commissioning of the base in Lensk. This will increase the speed and efficiency of logistics operations. The main objects of the company for the near future are the development of infrastructure and its own fleet in the Lena river basin.
The company also owns a base in the town of Ust-Kut, Irkutsk region. The facility possesses its own filling station, which allows to reduce the turnover time of cargo transport on the winter road. RNG Procurement LLC plans to start accepting hazardous goods at the railway dead end in Ust-Kut. The documents for the license were sent to Rostransnadzor. Warm hangars have been built on the territory of the base, access railway lines have been repaired and are in operation.
The central warehouse of the field support base is re-equipped for the winter season. It is the largest logistic section of RNG JSC of more than 8 hectares in area. The facility has video surveillance, access and identity control. A bar-coding address storage system has also been introduced. The warehouse has a separate food storage area with different temperature conditions. The temperature at the facility during the cold season is maintained by modern gas equipment.
The work results of RNG Procurement LLC during the navigation season were acknowledged by the partners of the company. Rechservice LLC, one of the oldest logistics operators in the Irkutsk region and the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), expressed deep gratitude to the company for the partnership and stressed out the high professionalism of its employees.
RNG JSC has been actively cooperating with a division of ALROSA for transshipment of goods in the Lensk port since 2016. Alexander Panov, chief dispatcher of the Lensky river port of Almazdortrans control center, highlighted: “The company stuff has sufficient experience and high qualifications. RNG Procurement LLC is one of our three largest clients”.
A cohesive team of professionals is the key to the success of RNG’s logistics service. Professional employees resolutely take on even the most complex projects related to the purchase of nonconventional cargo for delivery to remote and hard-to-reach areas. The RNG stuff has gained experience in the transportation of oversized cargo on a winter road over the past five years since commencement of the field development: equipment for the construction of a central collection point for oil, dehydrators weighing up to 60 tons, heavy seismic equipment among it.
Working in Eastern Siberia often requires making challenging logistics decisions, so the company pays special attention to safety. “We inspect our truck cranes daily, examine the stuff and monitor the job safety at the bases,” commented Vadim Tarasov, head of the warehouse and transport logistics department of RNG JSC.
Control at every stage of the process and timely management actions allow the company to successfully cope with all logistics goals. The decisions made in 2020 allowed RNG Procurement LLC to give up the contractors employed for the transportation of goods and increased the efficiency of the RNG Group of Companies.
